"Hi, I am a native Chinese Mandarin speaker, born and raised in Beijing, received public education through college before came to the United State for advanced studies.

I enjoyed teaching Chinese (Mandarin) at the Center for International Studies at Cornell University while attending the College of Engineering and pursuing my bachelor's and master's degrees. I taught students from across the US and the world who wanted to improve their Chinese speaking and writing skills. Many of them stayed on the program for multiple semesters until graduation.

What I experienced was that the best performing students was the ones dare to express and correct mistakes; which means one needs to seize every opportunity to practice the language.

I've traveled throughout Europe, Asia and North America, and I have been living in the United States for the past 30 years.
