I have a bachelor's degree in Psychology, have taken masters level courses in Social Work and am currently working toward my masters degree and advanced certificate in School Psychology. My academic journey has allowed me to take a variety of courses including statistics, sociology, advanced developmental psychology, learning and cognitive development, instructional consultation and intervention, and many more! I have experience providing reading interventions to struggling readers in grades 5-7 and have tutored college students in Psychology 101 as a teaching assistant.

Additionally, I have experience working in a middle school as a full-time teacher. I have worked with student's with reading and learning disabilities in self-contained settings and outside of self-contained settings in grades 5-7. I enjoy working with children and am excited to begin a career that helps children learn and grow both academically and emotionally. I believe in teaching practices that are rooted in science and are proven to work. Explicit instruction that targets children at their skill and ability level is the key to success.
