"Hello World! I'm Mansoor! I graduated from George Mason University with a Bachelor's degree in Applied Information Technology. I am an experienced Senior Software Engineer by day. My favorite part about tutoring is discovering what works best for each student. Every student learns differently and having the ability to figure out what method of tutoring works best for each student is imperative. I've sat down in college classrooms and succeeded in learning computer science fundamentals while other students struggled. I thought to myself, why are only a few students succeeding while the majority of others are having trouble understanding the subject? I realized then that what may make sense to one student, may not make sense to another whether it be conceptually, visually, or auditory. This is where tutoring comes into play. Having a tutor to guide you along lessons is extremely helpful in all areas. Textbooks can only go so far without concepts being explained in a manner that is understood by a student.

I have many years of experience and exposure to the many sides of Information Technology. My strongest subject is Java programming and object-oriented programming (OOP). As far as my tutoring experience goes, I have about 5 years experience. In college, I spent time tutoring my fellow classmates who were struggling to learn the JAVA programming material. Additionally, I tutored high school students in Advanced Programming and AP Computer Science (JAVA). I had taken these courses myself so I was already familiar with the subject and concepts. I have a broad understanding of other computer/IT related technologies so don't be afraid to ask!
