I hold a Master’s in Physics from UC San Diego and a Bachelor’s (Magna cum Laude) in Astrophysics from UC Los Angeles. As a teacher/tutor for over 35 years, I specialize in Physics (calculus/non-calculus based) and Math. I’m a licensed, credentialed teacher who taught in public high schools and now tutors AP Physics/Calculus, College-level Physics/Calculus for Engineering, Pre-med, Optometry, and Pharmacy students. I am patient and provide clear explanations.

My tutoring journey began in ninth grade when I helped a classmate with Algebra 1 word problems, sparking my passion for math and physics. Over the years, I’ve helped many students not only solve problems but also deepen their understanding of the concepts.

From my experience, I noticed many students follow steps mechanically without understanding the reasoning behind them. While correct steps lead to the right answers, true mastery comes from understanding why each step is necessary and how it connects to the next. In my tutoring sessions, I focus on explaining the purpose behind each operation to help students understand the entire process.
