"Hello! My name is Brian and I received my Master's at USC in Human Resource Management, my Bachelor's at UCLA in Communication and Labor Studies, and my Associate's at ELAC in Communication Studies. As a community college transfer student, I had the opportunity to apply to the Cal States, UCs, and private schools and was able to get accepted into 9 out of 12 schools. Because of how successful I was in my own essay writing, I helped my friends with their essays and applications, and helped them get accepted into schools such as UCLA, UC Berkeley, UC Irvine, and more.
I enjoy working with others on their essays as it is their stories to tell. Furthermore, the joy of celebrating getting into dream schools is an amazing feeling, and I am always looking to help others achieve their goals. My tutoring experience includes working 2 years at school and with outside platforms to conduct group sessions and 1:1 sessions online during COVID lockdown with students ranging from middle school all the way up to 4-year universities. Once we were able to return to school, I worked with 10 community college students to improve and build confidence in their college admission essays.
My goal with tutoring is to build confidence and help use personal experience to enhance and demonstrate capability to either answer the prompt or to stand out as a candidate for college admission. I view essay writing as using one's own viewpoints to answer a question, backed up by personal experiences and/or proper citation in academic writing. Therefore, I believe that I can help any student that works with me with building their writing confidence and being able to seamlessly put thought on paper.
Looking forward to working with you! Feel free to reach out with further questions or to schedule a session." less...
