"With my Masters degree in Literacy, I am skilled at the teaching of reading. My double Bachelors degrees in both elementary education and middle grades education mean that I am qualified to teach in grades K - 4 and 4 - 8. My concentrations in both math and language arts/reading, mean that I am highly qualified to teach those subjects in middle grades. The Gifted Endorsement allowed me to teach and test Gifted students {above average}. I also have worked with the struggling students using my EIP {early intervention program} and remedial reading programs. Put that all together and I can teach any child, high or low, anywhere between kindergarten and eighth grade.
Teaching is my calling. Now that my classroom career is over, I am enjoying the freedom that tutoring provides. I am able to work one-on-one with my students. I can see the growth and gains more closely. It is definitely more rewarding than classroom teaching. I am eager to help my clients better understand and perform in their daily lives. I feel confident that I can help you and your student, just contact me. Together we can devise a plan to assist you in your present situation.

I must listen, observe any errors, and then communicate effectively with the student until understanding, then mastery, is obtained.

I feel both reading and writing are lifelong skills that every person should have access to a" less...
