"Hi, I'm Aarushi! I'm currently a student at Rutgers University School of engineering. While math may seem difficult, it can be fun! Reflecting on math courses I have taken throughout my education, I realized that there was one constant between all the courses I enjoyed- the professor made the lessons engaging. I believe that the best way to learn math is by ensuring that the tutor ensures that the tutee is actively participating every step of the way. This makes it easier to clarify doubts early on in the unit, rather than at the end.
I bring these skills into my tutoring approach by personalizing lesson plans for each student. These plans normally consist of time to review/teach the material and work through practice problems together until the student is confident enough to do it on their own. I will work with the students and provide practice problems outside of lessons if they think that will benefit them.
I have experience tutoring elementary math, Algebra 1, and Calculus in the past. I also scored in the 99th percentile on the SAT and know that the best way to score well is by acquiring the tricks and skills necessary and applying them through practice problems.
I want to benefit the students as much as possible, and welcome any new resources. I am easy to reach and will respond quickly. Feel free to reach out me with any questions you may have or to schedule a lesson!" less...
