"During my three years as a High School Mathematics Teacher at the Cambridge School of Weston in Massachusetts, I’ve had the privilege of working with students across a range of subjects, including Calculus, Pre-Calculus, Algebra 2, Computer Science, and Linear Algebra. My role has involved creating engaging lesson plans and adapting my teaching methods to meet each student’s unique needs, in classes of 5-20 students. I believe in a student-centered progressive approach, where my goal is to make concepts approachable and to foster a positive learning environment. By using various strategies to assess and support students, I’ve been able to help them build confidence and achieve their academic goals.
I graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in 2021 with a BS in Mathematics and a BS in Music. My studies included courses in Physics, Linear Algebra, Calculus, Real Analysis, Probability, and Computer Science. At MIT, I also learned the importance of making learning enjoyable and relevant, which I carry into my tutoring sessions.
In my tutoring approach, I focus on breaking down topics into manageable parts, providing context, and offering different approaches to the same problems. Whether working with high school students or those preparing for college, I aim to provide clear explanations and encourage a love for learning. My experience has shown me that with the right support and encouragement, every student can succeed and develop a lasting appreciation for mathematics or physics." less...
