"I am retired, with teaching experience and a technical background. I am patient and very knowledgeable in math/science related subjects, from middle school into to the second year of college. I also help prepare for the ASVAB, GRE, SAT, ACT, etc.

I work on foundational knowledge and explain explain the “why” and the “how”, using various approaches, with real-world examples. If your lesson materials are incomplete or poorly organized, I will help address that.

I prefer in-person tutoring, working at the student’s home or in a public space such as a library, coffee shop, etc. Some students only need one session to sort things out, while others need regular, ongoing support — let's discuss your immediate and long-term goals, schedule constraints, financial burdens, or other issues.
