I've received A grades in all of my lower-division undergraduate math courses, and have earned an associate's degree in mathematics. I've also received A grades in more advanced coursework like probability theory and discrete math. I scored a 1520 on my SAT in 2020 (760 Math, 760 English), and am looking to tutor both SAT reading/writing and math. I have been tutoring on and off for several years now; I began in high school teaching English composition, and started teaching math and programming at my local community college more recently. I utilize a unique teaching style - I will never outright give my student the answer, but I'll build up their confidence in their ability to find a solution. I prioritize being patient and attending to the student's needs rather than getting particular tasks done hastily. During my sessions, I create a set of curated notes specifically targeting areas where the student needs improvement (for example, if the student was struggling on a particular programming concept, I'd likely dedicate a page to explaining that concept with examples).
