I have a couple of random evening times for ‘math emergencies.’ I have morning and early afternoon times. Due to the time difference, this works very well for East Coast students online.

A bit about me...
I didn't start out with the thought of being a teacher. I followed my heart...my passion for math. I have a Master of Science in Teaching Mathematics and I emphasize the teaching. I have been teaching at the college level for the past 20+ years and tutoring a wide variety of math subjects from middle school to high school to college. My hobby has evolved into the most rewarding career I could have ever dreamed of.
My subjects...
I specialize in prealgebra, algebra I, algebra II, geometry, trigonometry (especially proofs of identities), precalculus, calculus, probability, and test prep (SAT/ACT, CBEST, ORELA EAS, ASVAB) for the math sections.
My goal of any tutoring session is to clarify the concepts and demystify the math behind any issues.
My method of teaching depends on the way the student learns. I don’t just answer a question. I help the student to understand where the concept comes from, how it works within the problem, and how it will be used as the student progresses.
Tutoring...
I have a flexible work schedule and can meet many students’ short-notice needs. However, I do have a 12-hour cancellation policy in order to maintain the ability to accommodate such requests.
I can meet with students online, near school, at a public place (library, restaurant, coffee shop), or in your home. I am happy to travel to most locations in the greater Portland area that are convenient for students.
I look forward to hearing from you and helping you to succeed!" less...
