"I am a former college algebra instructor, and I have loved math since elementary school. While my classmates were buying books and games at book fairs, I bought flashcards to learn math facts.

In high school, my algebra 2/trig teacher piqued my interest in math education. While earning my B.A. in math at CNU, I tutored in the math lab. After graduating magna cum laude, I continued tutoring at CNU and later became a community college algebra instructor. At both venues, I tutored prealgebra, algebra, precalculus, and calculus 1 students.

It is most rewarding to see students reach that "a-ha" moment once they understand a perplexing topic. I'm extremely patient and encourage students to ask questions. I then use the Socratic Method to ask students probing questions to elicit from them the answers to math problems.

In 2017, I decided to tutor math full-time. I also began providing test prep to students taking military, nursing, and placement tests. I am an AFOQT, ASVAB, OAR, HESI A2, TEAS 7 math and English expert. I also specialize in the Accuplacer, ALEKS, CLEP, PERT, and TSI math exams. I teach time-saving test strategies that enable my students to significantly improve their prior test scores.
