"I have over fifteen years of experience tutoring to high school, college, and graduate students. My specialty lies in tutoring mathematics in several areas such as calculus, abstract/linear algebra, differential equations, real/complex analysis, algebraic and differential topology/geometry. I also give lessons for physics and engineering courses, e.g., statics, electrodynamics, general relativity, quantum and statistical mechanics, particle physics and cosmology, fluid dynamics and continuum mechanics. In my experience, I've found that students learn the physical sciences most efficiently through conceptual-based learning and active engagement in problem solving. Because of this, I will teach you problem solving strategies and help you improve mathematical proficiency through challenging problems. I will also help you build intuition needed to break down difficult concepts.
I give both individual and group sessions. I am usually available in the mornings and afternoons, but I'm flexible with students. My sessions are of two types; one for assigned work (homework, tests, etc.) and one centered on problem solving techniques and methods of proof. I have a 24-hour cancellation policy, but I offer makeup sessions.
I look forward to hearing from you! I'll help you succeed in your studies!" less...
