"Math and physics are both complex subjects that are built upon many years of scientists and mathematicians struggling with ideas. And in school, students are asked to tackle the same problems that faced Isaac Newton, Einstein, and others. They're not easy subjects and don't come easily to many people. In fact, they require many hours of practice and thought even for the people that are 'good' at them. And you may very well feel like it doesn't come naturally to you.

Often the material in one chapter is built upon a foundation of many ideas. And if you didn't quite understand that earlier material, getting the new parts can be frustrating, difficult, and almost impossible sometimes.

Having a good tutor that has been through the challenges in your classes will save you time and frustration. Understanding how each idea relates back to material that you do understand will make math and physics much less of a headache.

Mathematics and physics are subjects I enjoyed in school and tutored in as well as being a teaching assistant. I have spent thousands of hours working through problems and a great deal of time helping students work through problems as well.

I supervised the MPC math lab in 2011, helping with math and physics and taught physics as a professor at Monterey Peninsula College for one year.

For my undergraduate degree, I attended Santa Clara University. Took some great classes there and learned how to help other students being a student tutor and TA for each term after my first quarter for the next four years.

Following that I attended NPS studying applied physics with an emphasis in acoustics. I acted as TA part of the time for the physics professor I worked for during my graduate studies.

Recently I took a position in the math lab at MPC and then as a physics professor.

Music is my passion, I love playing saxophone.

I like to teach and have developed new ways of looking at things other than how I was taught and/or do things. I also listen and have patience and am able to help many stude" less...
