"Hello! I graduated from Williams College with a B.A. in Geoscience and French. I am passionate about helping those who want to learn, and I have followed this mission through a term of service teaching with AmeriCorps in Wilmington, Delaware, and through my 6 years of tutoring high school students and older. In all, I have logged over 300 hours of tutoring with more than 20 individual students. I am intentional in how I bring fun into students' learning experiences, and I find that practicing and teaching stress management strategies to students not only makes learning more enjoyable in the long run, but also leads to very tangible outcomes in educational performance and in life after school. When you choose me, you get intentionally crafted lesson plans that fit your needs and goals, but that are also adaptable to your progress over time. I am highly skilled in English grammar and writing, high school level math and science classes, and college level multivariable calculus and environmental science. My favorite subject to tutor is French, from beginner level to more advanced students. I have taught testing strategies for both the ACT and SAT, and I hold a score of 32 on the ACT (97th percentile). I have brought students up to the 30s from the mid-20s on the ACT, and from scores of less than a thousand on the SAT to scores of 1300 plus.
