"Hello, my name is Kevin M. and I am 22-years old. I am a computer science student at the University of Florida. I love math and I love this job as a tutor because it gives me a chance to help people while also doing something I find very fun and enjoyable. What I like about this job is I can make math fun for people who don't really like it and give them something to look forward to. I just received a bunch of thank you messages from my AP calculus and physics students because they got the score they wanted on the AP exam and it really makes my day when students reach out like that.
I have a great deal of experience working as a volunteer tutor for a middle school. Besides being very knowledgeable and passionate about math, I think the biggest reason I've been a successful tutor is relatability and patience. I understand that math does not come easily for everyone and will be there to encourage you. There's nothing to be ashamed of if math isn't your thing. For me personally, I am awful at English and need a lot of help with that but I am very good at Math. Everyone has their own unique talents and abilities and for some students math just isn't their thing. I am completely aware of this and will work hard to help you understand the content and get the grades you desire. One of the most satisfying feelings as a tutor is when you finally help a student get a concept that they've been struggling with. As for what I'm like as a person, I am a pretty friendly dude with a big smile. My hobbies include baseball, fishing, guitar, football, anime, and programming." less...
