"I started tutoring in middle school, and continued to work as a volunteer in high school, teaching physics, math, and French. Since my sophomore year of college, I have tutored in math, physics, and chemistry. I also worked as a course assistant for two semesters, helping out with homework and teaching general physics. Most of my experience has been teaching college students, although I have worked with high school students in the past, mostly in a laboratory setting as they shadowed me and helped conduct a small number of experiments. My love for tutoring comes from the joy I get when a student gets that eureka moment, just as I have in the past, and from having the opportunity to instill in the them a love for the subjects I teach.
As a physics major, I worked a lot with calculations, and have a very strong math foundation in order to understand and see how physics concepts work. I continue to use linear algebra, differential equations, calculus, and multivariable calculus to solve physics problems to this day. During my time in college, I also majored in chemistry, and worked in a biochemistry lab, doing organic synthesis and collaborating with a biophysics lab. I have taken organic, inorganic, physical, and nano chemistry, as well as electromagnetism, quantum mechanics, thermodynamics, and more. I am currently pursuing a Ph.D. in physical chemistry.
Although my formal teaching experiences with language have only involved French, as a native Spanish speaker, I have helped friends in informal settings with the Spanish language, teaching them about sentence structure, grammatical genders, conjugations, and much more.
I am able to work on weekends, with flexible hours on Saturdays and Sundays. I have extensive knowledge in the science and math fields, as well as the Spanish language, and plenty of teaching experience. Don't hesitate to contact me and ask any questions you might want answered!" less...
