"Hi, I’m Andrew D, a dedicated math educator with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Secondary Education from the University of Rhode Island. With over two years of teaching experience across both public and private schools, I’ve worked with students in grades 5–12, helping them build a strong foundation in math and develop a genuine appreciation for the subject.
Currently, I teach 5th-grade math and science at the Academy of Notre Dame in Tyngsboro, MA, where I lead hands-on projects in a Geodome greenhouse, balancing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Previously, I taught 9th and 11th-grade math at the Collegiate Charter School of Lowell, where I pioneered a new mathematics curriculum and collaborated with colleagues to refine teaching strategies. My experience includes teaching probability and statistics, designing engaging lessons, and managing classroom activities with minimal supervision.
I specialize in making math accessible and enjoyable for students of all levels, whether they’re tackling algebra, geometry, calculus, or preparing for standardized tests like the SAT and ACT. My teaching approach is personalized, patient, and focused on helping students not only improve their grades but also develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Let’s work together to unlock your full potential in math and achieve your academic goals!" less...
