"Hi there, I'm Christina! I have been working with young people for over 20 years, impactfully serving as a mentor, tutor, life coach and teacher. When I was teaching in the classroom, I taught Pre-Algebra (7th-8th grade math), Algebra 1, Geometry, and Algebra 2. Now, I coach students through these subjects, including College Algebra and providing homeschooling support, online. I have been blessed to help countless students overcome their challenges with math, build confidence, and get to a place where they could persevere through a variety of problems and finally achieve success in their math class, from understanding the material to making incredible gains on their End-of-Course state exams.

My students tell me I'm able to help them be calm so they can focus more on learning, and less on performing. They love the way I break the concepts and material down for them so that they finally and truly understand.

I have a B.S. in Mathematics from Spelman College and extensive graduate-level pedagogical coursework from SUNY Empire State College and Western Governors University, including courses in child & adolescent development, secondary math instruction, and teaching students with special needs.
