In terms of my background, I have loved math ever since I can remember. I was 5 years old when I started to teach my sister math and will hold Saturday "school" for her in our library . . . . the only subject being taught was math. My mom has been a math teacher for over 30 years and you could definitely say I have been walking in her footsteps for the past 25.
I have tutored for the past 16 years and am going on my 5th year teaching full-time at a combined middle and high school. I also currently am an adjunct instructor for college math courses at the City College of New York.
I love seeing the growth of students throughout the entire tutoring experience, not only with the material and content but also with their confidence and how they hold themselves.
I am able to pick up on a student's struggles/difficulties quickly and can cater the way I teach to lead them to their highest potential. My mission is to get them to a point where they don't need a tutor and have the ability to problem-solve and explore on their own with ease and clarity.
