"I have a bachelor's in psychology as well as a master's in curriculum and instruction with a concentration in middle school mathematics, both from the University of Maryland College Park. I hold the Maryland Standard Professional Certificate in middle school mathematics. This is my third year teaching magnet Algebra 1 at Roberto Clemente Middle School. I have also taught Honors/Magnet Geometry as well as a pre-algebra course called Math 8. During my college years, I volunteered for America Reads America Counts at a local elementary school, teaching students math in small group settings. During my high school years, I tutored a 4th grader in math one-one as well as a few 7th graders in playing the flute one-on-one. I have a lot of experience in lesson planning whether it's for the whole classroom or for individual students. I also have experience differentiating for advanced students as well as on-level students. Because I taught during the pandemic, I also have lots of experience with online platforms such as Desmos, Nearpod, Peardeck, and Kami.
