"Hello, I am a software engineer by day and a math geek by night. I have a lot of interests and experiences, but one of my favorite things to do is to help students gain confidence in mathematics. I have numerous qualifications, including an Applied Math Degree from the University of Connecticut, where I graduated Phi Beta Kappa. Each year, UConn holds an annual Calculus competition on campus, and I won awards in it all four years, including First Place Overall! While at UConn, I also tutored in the Math Center where students would drop in for help with their math courses. I was happy when students would wait in line for me when there were plenty of other available tutors!

Math is at the core of everything I do as a programmer at my day job. I develop puzzle programs for a major magazine publisher; for example I wrote the Sudoku program which builds all of our Sudoku puzzles, and more! My previous job involved making educational software, where I specialized in math products for kids. I was the lead designer on "The Hidden Treasure of Al-Jabr", an Algebra product, and producer on the award-winning "Math Essentials I and II".
