"Hi, I’m Cristian! I am a current Junior at the University of Texas at Austin pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. I love math and use it pretty much everyday in all of my classes. The reason why I love it so much is because of all of the amazing teachers, professors, mentors, and tutors that I have had to help me along the way. They would teach me in new and exciting ways, and now I try to implement that in my own methods of tutoring. I remember the times in high school when I went to my Calculus teacher every day to become a master of the topics. Reaching out for help is always the first step! I try to teach students in their own personal learning ways. I try to adapt my tutor style to whatever each individual needs from me. Whether it involves using visuals, using words, doing lots of practice problems, or even minimal guidance. I try to do what’s best for the students.

I have a year of formal tutoring experience at a tutor center at the University of Texas at Austin. But, I also have many years of informal years of experience tutoring when I help out my friends with assignments and homework. I mostly do small group sessions for 5-10 students and also 1-on-1 sessions. I always ensure that my students receive a copy of my notes after the session is over for their convenience. I have experience tutoring Algebra, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, Trigonometry, and Geometry.

Calculus 1: A+, Calculus 2: A+, Calculus 3: A+, Engineering Statics: A+, AP Calculus AB: 4, AP Statistics: 4, and Top 6% and top 11 out of 175 students in high school.
