"Hey! My name is Brian, and I graduated from Georgia Tech, with an undergraduate degree in Global Economics and Modern Languages with a concentration in Korean. I'm currently pursuing a Master's in Data Analytics (MSDA) focused in the field of Business at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. I believe tutoring is the single greatest tool that will fix the holes currently being perpetuated by our flawed education system in the United States. I plan to dedicate a portion of my career to education and making sure that these holes are being filled.
I've done over 500 hours of official tutoring, and in the past, I've tutored students in SAT Math, Korean, PSAT Math, Elementary and Middle School Math, and Algebra. I worked as a teaching assistant for Elementary Korean with the Korean Program in the School of Modern Languages at Georgia Tech. I also worked as a peer tutor with the Scheller College of Business for the course Quantitative Analysis for Business.
I've worked for 2 semesters as a Learning (Student) Assistant at Georgia Tech for a Business/Management course based around Excel (Quantitative Analysis for Business), which involved helping and interacting with students during class, as well as holding tutoring sessions 2 - 3 times a week. In addition, I received CRLA ITTPC - Level I Tutor Certification training.
One of my passions is to help students succeed in the same way I was helped, as well as connect with a variety of students across multiple age groups. During middle school and high school, my SAT tutor was one of my greatest influences, and he not only completely reshaped the way I approached the SAT, but also was a close friend to me.
In terms of testing qualifications, I received a perfect score on the PSAT Math section (760) and a 790 on the SAT Math section.
