"Hi, I'm Matt! I'm a current engineering PhD student with degrees from UC Berkeley (B.S. in Engineering, 2021) and Carnegie Mellon (M.S. in Engineering, 2022). I graduated as valedictorian of my high school class of 500 students and scored a perfect 800/800 on the SAT Math 2 Subject Test.

I have experience coaching, tutoring, and teaching students at various levels, starting in high school when I tutored freshmen in remedial algebra. I specialize in tutoring high school math subjects such as algebra, geometry, and SAT.

While I grew up loving math, I understand that it can feel discouraging and frustrating for many students. I take a patient, supportive approach to tutoring, ensuring that students feels comfortable asking questions and working through challenges. I find immense satisfaction in seeing students light up when they solve a problem or get excited about a concept that once seemed out of reach. My goal is to help students not only improve their skills but also build confidence and a positive relationship with math.
