"My educational background includes a BS in Mathematics, an MS in Mathematics and an MS in Operations Research. I have classroom teaching experience working with grades 7 through 12. My tutoring experience includes tutoring students in grades 9 through 12.

I will work with you to create a solid foundation of math skills that will establish the base to understand and solve more complex problems. I believe that it is important to have a solid understanding of the basics. You can rely on these basic skills to explore and solve new and different problems. For each new area of math, I work with my students to insure they can solve the basic problems and then use that as a spring board to deal with the more challenge problems in that category.

I am sure I can help to give you the skill and confidence you need to make math easier. Once you gain confidence, math can be fun. Things that we don't know or understand can create stress. I can help you turn that stress into positive energy and excitement.

I recently worked with a student who was struggling with their Algebra II assignments and tests. Over the course of the semester, the student was able to increase their skill and confidence. They started the semester getting test scores in the 60 percent range and finished the last test of the semester with a 93. The progress and growth of this student was very satisfying for both him and me.
