"I have been a math teacher for over 30 years and have taught all over the country in all types of schools from inner city schools with over 2500 students to rural schools with 300 students. I have taught in private schools and Christian schools, but the majority of my teaching experience has been in public schools.

I love math. I love what I do, or I would not have stayed in the industry for so long. I am considered a Geometry Specialist but also teach Algebra I and Algebra II when needed.

For the past few years, I have been tutoring after school a few days a week at the school where I currently teach, and I love it. Nothing is more rewarding to a me than when a child who is struggling with a math topic finally gets it. That is when I feel like I have succeeded.

My goal as a math tutor is to help children better understand the topics they are learning while at the same time helping them appreciate the math around them in their everyday lives. I know a lot of students who do not like math, stress and struggle because they don't understand it.
