"Hello! I’m Jamie, a graduate of the University of California, Santa Barbara, where I completed an honors program in Mathematics through the College of Creative Studies. At UCSB, I undertook rigorous coursework in areas like Topology, Abstract Algebra, Complex Analysis, and Real Analysis. I later earned a master’s degree in Biostatistics from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, where I strengthened my analytical and statistical skills.

My tutoring journey began in high school, where I worked with a college student in Calculus II, a high school student in Pre-Calculus, and a middle school student in Algebra 1, helping each of them improve their grades from a C to an A. I also founded a SAT Prep Math club to support peers preparing for SAT and ACT math, achieving perfect scores of 800 on both SAT Math exams myself. Through these experiences, I developed a flexible teaching style to meet each student’s unique needs—whether reinforcing foundational skills or tackling advanced concepts.

Since then, I’ve tutored students of all ages, including elementary students at Isla Vista and El Camino Elementary, where I led after-school math classes for grades 1 through 6.
