"My name is Ruby and I hold a bachelor's degree, major in Physics and minor in math. I am a certified teacher in Texas for high school math and also I took the subject test for middle school math. I was teaching Pre-Calculus in 2017/2018 school year, Algebra 2 and Precalculus in 2018/2019 school year and Geometry in 2019/2020 school year at Bowie high school in Arlington. Before my certification, I was a long term substitute math teacher in Legacy Prep Charter Academy in Mesquite for almost 2 years. I was teaching Algebra 1 and Geometry there. I was working in " Eye Level Learning center" as a tutor in Frisco for more than 4 years before I started as a substitute teacher. In Eye Level learning center I used to give instructions from Kindergarten to 12th grade group of 1 to 6 students at a time.

While teaching at school I found out that most of the students don't remember the basic or didn't understand at all. When teachers start teaching form the grade level, some students give up and stop focusing since they don't have any clue what the teacher is talking about. I always make sure that students remember the prerequisite for that level to make students comfortable. I like math and wants to show students that math is the easiest subject once they understand it.
