I've been a full-time math teacher at the high-school level since 2002. I've taught literally all levels of high-school math, from Pre-Algebra all the way through Calculus BC/AP. I think learning to think critically mathematically is far more important than just memorizing a bunch of seemingly unrelated formulas. I always tell my students that if they're memorizing too many things, then I'm probably doing a bad job.

In terms of education, I received my Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics from Harvey Mudd College in 2000, received my California Single-Subject Mathematics teaching credential from Cal State Northridge in 2005, and recently completed my Master's Degree in Mathematics from Cal State Fullerton in 2014.

I've tutored both privately and through tutorspree (before they became Wyzant) for a couple of years and am looking to get back into it. I have many references should you want any.
