My name is Jonathan and I'm a father and teacher. I have an MS in Computer Science, and have previously earned both a BA in Mathematics and a BS in Computer Science. I'm licensed by ISBE to teach 7-12 and have endorsements in both areas. I have worked over the last twenty years for a number of schools and corporations as an urban educator, business analyst, and software developer.

Some facts about me: I'm father to two daughters and a member of the ACM and Mensa. I have my ISBE PEL (7-12) certification to teach Mathematics and Computer Science in public schools. I am mildly conversational in Spanish, and did my masters thesis in NLP. I authored: The Actor Model, Fielding Constraints, and Cloud Computing. For a few years I judged for IHSA Mathletes competitions and speech tournaments , and was a contributing newspaper writer for my university's newspaper. I was inducted into Alpha Sigma Lambda and published “Technology Practice and Educational Bureaucracy” Mensa International, among other activities including teaching for Upward Bound for a number of years.
