"I'm Kim. I graduated from San Jose State University with my Bacehlor's degree in Applied Mathematics, concentration in Applied and Computational Mathematics. I am finishing up my Master's degree at California State University, Long Beach for Computational and Applied Mathematics.

I have worked with a variety of age groups, from middle school to college, both professionally and peer tutoring. I have tutored online, but I prefer in person. I have never tutored elementary school students, but I am open to it. I have only worked with elementary school students as an adventure camp counselor and afterschool program instructor.

At CSULB, I was an activity instructor for MATH 112A (Essential Algebra A), overseeing group work in the classroom following my lesson. During my Office Hours as well as my 92A sections, I worked with students one on one and in small groups. I understand different students have different needs and ways of digesting material, so I tend to be patient and encouraging as my students work through a concept. I want my students to feel empowered to ask for help, learn how to learn, and gain academic confidence.
