I have a great passion for helping young children learn to read and do math. I have experience teaching reading and math to children from ages pre-school though high school.

I have good mastery of computer science, algebra, statistics, geometry and calculus and would be happy to help students who are struggling in these areas.

I ask that any materials (homework, classwork, etc.) be emailed to me ahead of time, so that I have them to use during the session.

I have experience working with gifted students and students who have ADHD.

I have worked as a substitute teacher in various schools and grade levels in Orange county, Florida, from pre-kindergarten through middle school.

I'm fluent in English, Spanish and Dutch.

I have a master's degree in Computer Information Systems.

I started tutoring when I was in college. My first tutoring assignment was to help a lady who needed to pass the Math component of her Florida teaching license. I helped her understand the parts that she was struggling with and it was a rewarding feeling when she told me that she passed with ease, especially because she started out believing that she couldn't understand math.

Math is all about having a solid understanding of a few fundamental concepts. Once you start studying the concepts from the bottom up, you will have a much easier time understanding them, and you will come to find out that math is easier than you might think it is, and you may even discover that you love math.
