"I offer mathematics tutoring for students in middle school and high school. I tutor a wide range of mathematical subjects, including Algebra and Calculus and everything in between. My tutoring methods vary depending on the strengths and weaknesses of the student. I try to adapt my teaching style to match up with the student's learning style in order to develop a deep understanding of the material. At the same time I also try to help students develop better work habits and study skills in order to become better overall performers in the classroom. I have been told by my past students that the way I explain math, using unique analogies and real life applications, allows them to comprehend the overall big picture; once the student has a grasp on the core mathematical concepts, everything becomes much easier because not only do they know how to do the math, they also understand why it works.

I have over 10 years of formal tutoring experience; I have been tutoring on WyzAnt for the last 6 years. While still attending Long Beach Poly High School I also (informally) provided tutoring services for dozens of classmates during my spare time. For 7 years from 2009 through 2015 I tutored LAUSD students as part of the No Child Left Behind Supplemental Education Services program. I currently attend CSULB, where I am working toward a Bachelors of Science degree in Mathematics (option in Education). Once I finish my studies I plan on being a high school mathematics teacher.
