"My name is Brian. I received my BA in Mathematics and Statistics from Columbia University in 2016. As a student at Columbia University, I was also employed as a Laboratory Assistant in the university’s Department of Physics, and as a Course Assistant in the university’s Data Science Institute. Both of these roles involved not only helping fellow undergraduate students with the relevant course material, but aiding in the design and structure of ongoing and future courses offered by the university.

After completing my undergraduate education, I moved with my future wife to Milwaukee, where I enrolled in graduate school at the University of Wisconsin—Milwaukee (UWM). I obtained my MS in Mathematics in 2019 and my PhD in Mathematics in 2023, both from UWM. During my time as a graduate student at UWM (and since then), I have served as an instructor for many undergraduate courses, including—but not limited to—College Algebra, Precalculus, Finite Mathematics, Quantitative Models for Business, Calculus and Analytic Geometry I-III, Linear Algebra, and Differential Equations. However, I have found that my most rewarding experiences have been working with students one-on-one during my office hours or in the Calculus Gateway Testing Center.
