"Hello! I graduated summa cum laude from the University of Pittsburgh in 2019, majoring in biology and minoring in chemistry. During undergrad, my extracurricular activities including working in a biochemistry lab, volunteering at the university hospital, writing for the student science journal, and shadowing physicians. I served as a biology teaching assistant for 3 years and also tutored student athletes in chemistry. I took the MCAT and scored above the 90th percentile. I attended the University of Central Florida College of Medicine where I obtained my MD degree. While there, I worked as a peer tutor in various medical school subjects including, basic sciences, anatomy, and physiology. In addition, I conducted one-on-one interviews with medical school applicants during my final year of medical school and have additional insight into the medical school admissions process. I again scored above the 90th percentile on both Step 1 and Step 2 which, together with the rest of my application, helped me match into a diagnostic radiology residency program.
As you can see, teaching has always been part of my journey. I enjoy teaching because it allows me to share my passion for learning and inspire others to reach their full potential. Watching students grasp new concepts and develop their skills is incredibly rewarding, and I take pride in being part of this growth. The dynamic and interactive nature of teaching keeps me engaged and continuously learning myself. Tutoring you will hopefully be as rewarding for you as it is for me!
I would love to assist with medical subjects including anatomy and physiology. Whether it is going over basic concepts or reviewing practice questions, I hope to help you on your professional journey. Furthermore, I am happy to provide application advice and will gladly work with you as you construct your personal statement. If you have any other subject matters you would like to address, let's discuss and I will see what I can do for you. I'm looking forward to working together!" less...
