"I’m Alex! I am a recent US Medical School graduate and an experienced tutor. I am here to use my knowledge, skills, and experience to help others excel in their academic pursuits.

Applying to Medical Schools can be challenging, confusing and intimidating. There are a lot of misconceptions about the application process. I recommend taking advice from someone who has gone through this process successfully. And I am here to set you up for a successful application cycle! I help navigate this process, review application, build resume, and assist with personal statement and interview prep.

As a recent student myself, I am passionate about helping students overcome difficulties and gain confidence in their knowledge and skills. I tailor my lessons and personalize my approach based on individual student’s needs, class curriculum, learning style, and level of knowledge. I engage my students in active learning and focus on helping them understand concepts and develop critical thinking. I help establish effective study habits applicable to science classes and beyond. I make myself available as a resource and establish a comfortable, trusting environment where students are not afraid to think, engage in discussions, and ask questions.

I started tutoring in 2015 and worked with the Peer-Lead Team Learning International Society program facilitating weekly seminars and exam reviews, tutoring, and mentoring over 200 university students enrolled in General, Organic, and Physical Chemistry courses. I have years of tutoring experience in high school and college-level Chemistry courses, with a specialization in Organic Chemistry. I also offer Step 1 and Step 2 tutoring. I am comfortable providing online and in-person lessons and working with students with learning disabilities.
