"Hi, I'm Tess! I am a fifth-year MD-MPH student at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. I received my Bachelor's degree from Oberlin College, where I double majored in Biology and Gender, Sexuality, & Feminist Studies and minored in Comparative American Studies. In college, I was the type of student who preferred writing essays to taking tests. I tried different approaches to studying for the MCAT, medical school courses, Step 1, and Step 2, and ultimately found the strategies that worked best for me. I have tutored multiple medical students over the past couple of years in pre-clinical and clinical coursework, and enjoy helping students find the study strategies that work best for them and increase their confidence in learning the material.

Last year, I had the opportunity to be a Teaching Assistant and Lecturer for undergraduate courses in the Department Gender and Women's Studies at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. For these courses, I developed interactive sessions to help students actively engage with the content we were covering.
