"Hey this is Usman! I am an Ursinus College Summa Cum Laude grad with a double major in Biology (honors) and Applied Ethics. Throughout my undergrad I tutored organic chemistry, chemistry, biology, and biochemistry. I tutored 1 on 1 but also would teach supplemental instruction classes where essentially I was group tutoring. Throughout my journey I have had countless mentees. Each of my mentees would go on to score really well in their exams and get admission into their respective graduate schools.

I am currently pursuing my MD/PhD at Thomas Jefferson University, completed USMLE step 1 (75th percentile), completed my PhD with numerous first author manuscripts, and now in my last year of medical school. I love to mentor students and guide them through the process, especially those interested in the MD/PhD route.

I spend my free time working on the board of a couple nonprofits, one of them being a free clinic in Philadelphia. I also enjoy playing sports (basketball and football mainly) and reading books. I am an avid hunger games fan and recently started reading a lot more nonfiction. My favorite nonfiction books are by Atul Gawande.

I received an A+ in both of my organic chemistry classes and my introductory biology classes. My science GPA was a 3.9 and I received a 95% percentile score on my MCAT (129/128/130/130) and I have completed medical and graduate level courses.
