"I have tutored and taught biology, chemistry, physics and mathematics over the last 10 years. I have bachelor's degrees in biochemistry from Purdue University with High Distinction where I was awarded the Goldwater Scholarship. I am currently a senior MD/PhD Student at New York University where I have earned a PhD in Cell Biology with a focus on Cancer Biology and Gene Regulation and will soon have my MD. Over the course of my undergraduate and graduate education I have served as a teaching assistant and tutor for a variety of chemistry courses and have experience helping students with high school level chemistry, college level general chemistry, organic chemistry, biochemistry, analytical chemistry and physical chemistry. Across the biological sciences I have tutored high school and college level general biology courses, genetics, human anatomy and physiology and neuroscience courses. I also have experience tutoring physics at the high school and college level as well as mathematics up through multivariate calculus. As a medical student I also have experience with medical school admissions and tutoring for the MCAT.
As a tutor, graduate student, and teaching assistant I have developed systems for assessing competency of students across their subjects of difficulty and devising didactic lessons and problem sets for addressing weakness and helping them achieve their desired grades and test scores. I look forward to working with you to achieve your academic goals.
I am based out of New York City and am happy to arrange in person tutoring at convenient locations." less...
