"Hi all! I am incoming IM resident physician at UT Southwestern, and I graduated from Rice University with honors as a Biology major and Sociology minor.

I have 6 years of teaching experience as a teaching assistant for Immunology in college and as a tutor for my medical school class where I tutored 200+ students in both basic sciences and clinical medicine. I also worked for Pixorize as a content creator to produce USMLE study materials that are easy to remember! I enjoy both learning and teaching which has allowed me to score in the 97th percentile for the MCAT. While I took USMLE STEP 1 as P/F, my predicted scores were in the 250+ range and I was able to achieve a passing score within 2 weeks of dedicated studying. I scored 268 on STEP 2 CK, which places me ~93rd percentile of test takers.

My teaching style is based on the individual student. I will focus on both didactics style lessons as well as working through questions together. I will also dedicate one lesson solely to test taking strategies if requested as timing and test taking skills go a long way in these standardized tests. I am familiar with resources including Sketchy, BnB, Pathoma, OME, Anki, Pixorize and Qbanks such as Amboss and Uworld and will be utilizing these into my lessons plans based on individual preferences and learning style.
