"I am Shadidur, and I recently graduated from Rutgers University with a bachelor’s in mechanical engineering. Attending school during the pandemic has taught me how tedious and confusing simple concepts can be with the remote teaching styles. Coming fresh out of college with my degree in engineering has paved the way for me to help students that might be struggling or need help in getting ahead.

I have tutored many of my classmates, and other undergraduate students in college, but more importantly I have worked as an instructor at the local Mathnasium for over a year. During my time at the Mathnasium, I have learned many teaching methods and how to relate to students to get the concept across.

I have tutored in Elementary Math, Prealgebra, Algebra I, II, Precalculus and Calculus. While tutoring here I developed the skill to introduce a skill to the students in a fun and interactive way that makes it easy to understand and make learning a pleasant experience. I follow my lesson plan for the tutoring session and have time at the end for the students to problem solve and ask questions. It is imperative that the sessions are interactive, and the students work on actual problems to get familiar with the concept and ask questions.

I have experience working with students 1on1 and in a group setting. I can work with students directly to make sure they are understanding the concepts and provide any assistance they may need. Also, I have experience in tutoring group of students (5-10), in college when I served as a group leader for the group tutoring sessions. During these sessions I worked with the students that needed help in the class and wanted to understand the materials better and not fall behind in class.
