"Tutoring has always been a part-time activity for me. I have 15+ years of teaching experience. I taught to middle school students to improve their grades at school and prepare them for the Keystone Tests. I have also helped high school students with their AP Physics and Calculus classes and for SAT preparations as well. There have been also college students in my student portfolio who were seeking help for their Calculus and Computer programming Classes.
When I was a graduate student. I taught at a community college as a tutor in the learning center for all levels of Math (Pre-Algebra, Algebra, Calculus I-II, Physics, Mechanics of materials, statics, Dynamics) and Computer Skills (C++ and MS Office).
I have the teaching certificate, CLRA Teaching Certificate also.
I have been using Math in all my work, so I have developed excellence particularly in Math and physics. Besides that, I have also been teaching Math at different levels, which has made me an expert on those topics. I can provide students a broad view of the topic which will help them to see where will they be using the subject in the future or how it is important. That always gives an extra motivation.
My teaching strategy has three steps in general. First, I start with very basic problems which are straightforward examples I use to clarify the subject. Then I ask an upper-level question to challenge them and let them work on it. If they can not figure out the solution, in the final stage I give hints to approach the problem and work together to the completion.
I am a Mechanical Engineer and living in Rochester, NY. For those who prefer in-person, I can meet you at the Brighton library , a coffee shop or anywhere at UR or RIT campuses if you like.
For online classes, I have my ipad and directly write on the screen and also save our notes and share them with you right away.
I am hoping that students will enjoy studying with me as the others have done so far. I am looking forward to seeing you." less...
