"I love everything math, science, and education! I graduated from the Colorado School of Mines with a bachelors in Mechanical Engineering in May 2022. I graduated with a 3.94 GPA and was an Academic All American Swimmer. I am currently a PhD student in Mechanical Engineering at UWM. Before going to college, I volunteered as a peer tutor at my high school, the Illinois Math and Science Academy. I spent around 200 hours over 2 school years tutoring my peers in physics, chemistry, and math. This volunteering experience is where I found out how much I loved tutoring and helping people! I gained a lot of patience and learned effective tutoring strategies.
After graduating from high school, I spent the summer of 2019 working as a tutor for the College of Lake County. I tutored college students in all levels of math and physics. I thoroughly enjoyed being able to tutor students of a wide variety of ages. I gained a lot of new tutoring skills from my coworkers and teachers at the college. Tutoring higher level classes like calculus and calculus-based physics gave me more confidence in my tutoring abilities.
My academic background puts me in a great position to tutor most math, physics, engineering, and programming classes. I scored perfect 5s on AP Calculus, and both sections of Calculus Based Physics. I scored perfect math scores on the ACT and the SAT. My GRE math score was a 169 / 170. My dad is a college math teacher, and I have hopes of teaching engineering classes at a university after I attend graduate school.
I would love to help students prepare for their SAT or ACT math/science tests, high school math/physics classes, or college engineering classes. Please reach out to me if you’re wanting help learning math, science, or engineering!" less...
