"I am a 3rd year medical student with 6 years of tutoring experience in English and Spanish Language and a masters degree in public health. I have experience with editing undergraduate, graduate, and medical school application essays and can provide efficient and focused support to applicants throughout their respective application cycles. Regarding medical school applications, I am well-versed with the AMCAS application system and providing feedback for primary and secondary application essays and Activities section. I also have approximately 200 hours of Spanish language tutoring experience with students of various grades ranging from middle school to college, along with adult professionals seeking to learn Spanish for career development. I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish Language and Literature and was enrolled in a Spanish immersion program throughout grade school. I aim to provide an effective, exciting learning environment for all students where they can meet their individual goals.
In addition to Spanish and English language tutoring, I have 6 years of experience in data analytics along with a Masters of Science in Public Health from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health in Global Disease Epidemiology and Control. I can provide support in epidemiological study design and analysis along with related writing, including proposal and manuscript development. I am familiar with common statistical methodology, including regression analysis and associated codes within SAS and Stata. I have worked with students in undergraduate and graduate settings in various public health concentrations (e.g., community health, behavior health) with the aim of helping them further their academic and professional objectives.
I have taught students in individual and small group settings with a special focus on virtual learning. I am able to meet with students throughout the day as well as evenings and weekends. I offer different lesson plan formats and encourage students to explore their preferences." less...
