EDUCATION & TRAINING
I attended the University of Miami where I graduated summa cum laude with a degree in neuroscience and a minor in Chemistry. I spent two years as a biomedical engineering major, which provided a strong background in applied mathematics, before changing to neuroscience. I then attended New York University (NYU) School of Medicine where I earned both my Medical Degree and Master's in Clinical Investigation as part of a dual degree program. My Master's Thesis was primarily focused on applied statistical analysis. After medical school, I spent 7 years in neurosurgery residency, and I recently changed medical specialties to Neurology at Loma Linda University Medical Center.
PRIOR TUTORING TEACHING EXPERIENCE
I have over 15 years of official tutoring experience. I began tutoring as an undergraduate at the University of Miami Academic Resource Center, tutoring other undergraduate students in math (from intro math to advanced calculus and differential equations), general and organic chemistry, physics, and various engineering classes.
I was the teaching assistant for the University of Miami Summer Scholars Program in Neuroscience, a program for rising high school seniors with college-level material. I offered one-on-one tutoring for all students, which became so popular that I formed a review group that met two nights a week for all interested students in addition to continuing individual sessions for any student still needing help. The same summer, I also created Taylor’s Tutoring Center at my apartment, where I tutored undergraduates in summer sessions taking organic chemistry, to raise money for my friend’s trip to Sudan.
I tutored various students throughout medical school and residency in anatomy, physiology, and other medical topics. I also spent much" less...
