"Hey everyone! My name is Luis. During my time as an undergraduate, I graduated Magna Cum Laude in Biophysics. During the beginning of this journey I felt as though I didn't belong in college and that my peers were more experienced in education. However, as I continued I found a love for Physics and the methods for solving each unique problem. To me I see every Math/Physics problem as a little puzzle that with enough time can be solved.
Other than helping my little sister with homework, I have experience with tutoring mainly undergraduates in my college. I was in the Physics Learning Center (A place where any struggling physics student can come and ask for help). My biggest experience, however was being an SI (Supplementary Instructor) for Analytical Physics 1 & 2. The responsibilities of an SI involved not only holding two ninety-minute teaching sessions per week, but also serving as a peer mentor for the younger Physics students while working with the Professor of the class. I would average about 10 students a session and it would be quite intimidating at times. On top of this I would tutor some undergraduate college students individually through zoom or in person. My teaching style is unique in that I like to breakdown a complex question into very smaller examples that help clear things up for students. Also, I am very good at making a student understand what they NEED and don't need to know for an upcoming exam.
I am very flexible with my time and I am very eager to work with students of all ages. Feel free to contact me for a Math or Physics sessions!" less...
