"Hello! My name is Monica. I am currently in the process of completing my residency training after graduating medical school. As a resident, one of the most satisfying aspects of my job is the privilege of teaching more junior residents. I have a strong interest in both the sciences and humanities and have always enjoyed teaching and mentorship.

When I was in high school I independently ran my own tutoring business working with primarily middle and high school students on various subjects including biology, English, and writing. I was also a very active member of my high school's debate team. During college I worked as a debate coach and tournament judge often invited to various regional and national competitions. I graduated magna cum laude from Tufts University with a degree in anthropology and worked several years in academic and clinical research before attending medical school.

Throughout my very long educational journey, I have come to recognize that successful learning manifests differently for each individual. It is often not just the time put into learning but rather the learning method itself that separates one individual's performance from another. For example, I learned that I am more of a visual learner than an auditory one.
