"Hello, I’m Will! I’m currently a neuroscience researcher at a top 5 public university school of medicine, as well as a medical student. I hold a Bachelor’s in Communications, a Post-baccalaureate in Biology, and a Master’s in Industrial Design (3.8 GPA).
Over the years, I’ve earned multiple scholarships, published over a dozen peer-reviewed research papers, scored in the top quarter on the MCAT and GRE, and been accepted to several graduate programs. Through these experiences, I’ve learned what it takes to succeed in higher education, and my goal is to help others navigate this path.
Over the past five years, I’ve specialized in tutoring undergraduate pre-med coursework (including Neuroscience, Physiology, Anatomy, and Biochemistry), MCAT test preparation, and college application support (including essay writing). I’ve worked as a personal tutor, group tutor, college teaching assistant, and a research advisor where I’ve helped over many students publish peer-reviewed research and prepare their medical, graduate, and PhD school applications.
As a tutor, my mission is simple: to help you achieve your goals and score as high as possible. I’ve found that "learning how to learn" is one of the most vital skills for academic success, but also one of the least talked about. To fill this gap, I share techniques that high-performing students use including active learning, spaced repetition, and breaking down complex science topics to the point where you can teach someone else. I also emphasize test-taking strategies and strategic study planning to ensure you continue progressing beyond our sessions.
Whether you want to improve grades, prepare for exams, or strengthen your applications, I’m here to help. I offer a free consultation to discuss your goals and create a personalized plan. Feel free to reach out with any questions—I will always respond within 24 hours. I look forward to meeting you and supporting you on your academic journey!" less...
