My name is Mel and I am a third year medical student in Chicago still haunted by AP exams, standardized tests, and final exams. I have been tutoring for 15 years (which sounds old) and love to help students in a variety of subjects.

I graduated from Pomona College in 2019 with a degree in neuroscience, and I graduated top of my class in high school. I took more AP classes than anyone in the history of my high school.

I have worked with high school students in AP classes such as calculus AB and BC, APUSH, WHAP, English, and Spanish. However, not physics, sorry y'all. I also tutor college students in introductory pre-med courses, such as chemistry and biology. I also have 5 years experience working with 3-6th graders with learning disabilities in all subjects. Additionally, I have worked extensively with high schoolers and college students on personal statements for college, summer programs, internships, and medical school.

As a student with ADHD, I have spent much of my educational career learning diverse methods of learning. I am an advocate for helping others discover their love for learning and expanding their resilience to adapt and problem solve, creating long term skills beyond the present subject.
